Understanding the Difference
Lab-grown and natural diamonds are, chemically and physically, the same material — pure crystallised carbon. They share the same hardness, the same brilliance, and the same fire. The only difference is where they began.
A natural diamond forms over billions of years deep within the earth. A lab-grown diamond forms in a matter of weeks in a controlled environment that recreates those same conditions of heat and pressure. The result is a genuine diamond — not a simulant or imitation.
Two advanced methods are used to grow diamonds above the earth:
Both produce diamonds with the same optical and chemical properties as those mined from the earth, graded by the very same 4Cs.
Pehwar specialises in exquisite lab-grown diamond creations. We believe luxury should be both exceptional and responsible, and lab-grown diamonds allow us to honour both.
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond in every meaningful sense — it is not cubic zirconia, moissanite, or glass. To the eye, and even under most gemmological testing, a lab-grown and a natural diamond are indistinguishable, because they are the same substance.
Reputable laboratories certify lab-grown diamonds using the same standards applied to natural ones.
There is no single right answer — only the choice that resonates with you. Some treasure the geological history of a natural stone; many of our clients are drawn to the conscience, value, and brilliance of a lab-grown diamond.
Whichever you choose, every Pehwar piece is crafted with the same devotion. To explore your options, speak with our advisors.
